Insertion of special elements
| Tables |
- Tables should be appropriately placed into the text. Please
remember that the printed version of your manuscript will be
exactly what you will see on your screen. Make sure that the
Table does not split between different pages
- Tables should be:

- Inserted directly into the manuscript
- Prepared exclusively using the Table option in
the Menu bar
- Completed using 10 point font (in exceptional circumstances,
8 or 9 point font may be used)
- Numbered with Arabic figures

back to Insertion of special elements |
| Figures |
- Figure(s) should be inserted directly in your final file
at the proper place in the Results and Discussion section,
respecting the limits imposed by the length and width of the
SAMPLE.pdf example.
They should be a minimum of 150dpi
- Captions to Figures should be:
- Placed at the bottom of the figure
- Times New Roman 11 pt Italic
- Centered under the picture
- Line spacing "exact 10 pt"
- Preceded and followed by a 3 pt blank line

- for example, Fig. 1. Structure of...
- If you can, please include the figure with relative caption
directly into a "text box", which should be anchored
to the line of the paragraph where it belongs. This way you
will be sure that figure and caption stay together and in the
position of the text you wish.

| Formulas and Equations |
- These items should be inserted directly into the manuscript.
- If available, please use Equation Editor for equations
and ChemDraw or IsisDraw for chemical structures.
(You can use cut & paste to transfer items
from these packages into Word.)
- If you prefer to insert formulas as text:
