CLIMATE
The weather in Haifa in
June is warm and pleasant during the day and cooler in the evening.
Temperatures range from 16 - 28 ° C (62 - 83 ° F).
CLOTHING
Informal for all occasions; please bring sunglasses, bathing suit and
comfortable walking shoes, as well as jackets for the cool evenings.
LETTER OF INVITATION
If a participant needs a letter of invitation to attend the Symposium, please
request it from the Symposium Secretariat at the address below. This
invitation, however, does not imply a commitment to payment of any expenses.
VISAS
Participants from most countries do not require a visa to Israel, but we
suggest that you ask your travel agent to check for you.
Participants residing in a country with Israeli Consulate/Embassy who require
a visa should apply
to the Consulate at least SIX WEEKS prior to arrival. The Secretariat will
send you a letter of invitation
for visa purposes upon request.
For countries without diplomatic relations with Israel, please write directly
to the Secretariat, to be received at least SIX WEEKS prior to the Symposium,
giving the following details: full name, date
and place of birth, passport number and date and place of issue and expiry
date, exact flight details (arrival and departure dates and flight numbers).
The Secretariat will apply to the Ministry of the Interior upon receipt of the
complete information provided it is sent on time. If granted by the Ministry
of the Interior, a visa will await you at the airport.
PERSONAL INSURANCE
We recommend that all participants take out personal travel and health
insurance for their trip.
AIR TRAVEL
EL AL Israel Airlines - the official carrier of the
Symposium - offers special
airfares for ENS participants and their spouses with a waiver of the minimum
stay. In order to be eligible for this offer, please call any El Al
reservations office, identify yourself as a participant and mention the code:
G/S21/CSE/P14.
Reservations and ticketing should be done through El Al offices only. To
qualify for this special offer, please submit a copy of your confirmation of
registration. An updated list of El Al offices can be obtained from the
homepage: http://www.elal.co.il
