INVESTIGATING PAIN IN MALES AND FEMALES: WHERE ARE THE
DIFFERENCES?

The symposium will present recent research in both experimental
animals and humans regarding the influence of sex-related factors
on responses to pain. Biological and psychological mechanisms will
be discussed, and the clinical relevance of these effects will be
addressed.
