Alzheimer’s conference - View of the old town and fortress

Dear Colleague,

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce the 8th International Conference on Alzheimer`s and Parkinson`s Diseases (AD/PD 2007) which will be held in Salzburg, Austria from March 14-18, 2007.

This meeting follows the highly successful 7th AD/PD Conference that took place in 2005 in Sorrento, Italy and hosted nearly 1,500 participants.

These AD/PD conferences are unique, in that they deal with issues related individually to Alzheimer`s Disease and Parkinson`s Disease, as well as with the integration between them and also to other related diseases.
We expect 1,800 participants for the Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Conference in Salzburg and have already received confirmation from more than 120 plenary and invited speakers.

Renowned professionals will be invited to present lectures on the most up-to-date techniques and research in relevant fields. We trust that the participants will take full advantage of the formal and informal opportunities to discuss the latest progress made in research on AD/PD and related diseases. Recent proceedings have been published by Plenum Press, Taylor & Francis (AD/PD 2003), and Springer (AD/PD 2005), in progress. We are delighted that the abstracts of the conference will be published as a supplement to the Neurodegenerative Diseases Journal (NDD) published by S. Karger AG and that the proceedings will be published as a separate volume of the Neurodegenerative Diseases Journal.

A number of competitive awards will be given at the conference, sponsored by Professor Umberto Cornelli (Milan). The first will be the Memorial Leda Hanin Award. Four additional awards will be offered in memory of Roberto Cornelli.

We look forward to greeting you in beautiful Salzburg in 2007.

With best wishes,

Abraham Fisher Israel Hanin Werner Poewe Manfred Windisch
