Palexpo is located 500 meters from the Geneva International Airport.
FROM THE AIRPORT TO PALEXPO
1. For those who wish to walk:
It is approximately a 10 - 15 minute walk from the airport to Palexpo
(follow the signs)
2. For those who wish to take the bus:
Bus 18: Airport to Gd-Saconnex Place (8 minutes) and Bus 5: From Gd-Saconnex
Place to Palexpo (3 minutes)
Entry to the building for the 12th AEP Congres is through doors 3-5 (Registration
Area).
All session halls, posters, exhibitions and refreshment facilities are
located in one complex.
FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE CITY
Geneva International Airport is served by railway and with a regular bus
service from the airport to the city.
PARKING AT PALEXPO
Parking is available at the Palexpo Conference Center. The parking rate
is CHF 12.00 per day. Alternatively you may use the parking meters, for
which the fee is CHF 1.20 per hour.
LOCAL TRANSPORT

Participants can use Geneva Public Transport, free of charge, between
April 14-18, 2004 when wearing their AEP Congress Badge.
Palexpo is served by bus number 5 which runs regularly throughout the
day and stops directly near the following hotels:
Intercontinental - Les Nations - Cornavin - Suisse - Warwick - Cristal
- Strasbourg - Le Montbrillant Moderne - Montana - Astoria - Lido
The following hotels have a free shuttle bus to Palexpo:

The weather in Geneva in April may vary. The days fluctuate between sunny/warm
and cool. Light rain is possible.

The Swiss monetary system is the Swiss Franc.

which is located within 5 minutes walking distance from Palexpo at the

A Hospitality Desk will be open for the duration of the Congress, to provide
full tourist facility services, including additional hotel accommodation,
car rental services, tours etc.
BADGES
Upon registration you will receive your personal envelope containing your
badge.
All participants, accompanying persons and exhibitors are kindly requested
to wear
their badges throughout the Congress in order to be admitted to the lecture
halls and other scheduled activities.
OPENING SESSION and WELCOME RECEPTION
The Official Opening Session will take place on Wednesday, April 14 at
18:00 in Hall A and will be followed by a Welcome Reception in the Exhibition
Hall.
EXHIBITION
A commercial Exhibition will take place during the Congress.
The exhibition will be open as follows:

Internet Café for checking e-mail messages is available, free of
charge, in the exhibition area during exhibition opening hours.
SPEAKERS' READY ROOM
The Speakers' Ready Room will be available 30 minutes before sessions.
Audiovisual equipment for checking power point presentations is available.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
- If using a Powerpoint (or any other computer) presentation:
Please bring your presentation (on a 1.44 MB floppy or CD or "disk
on Key"/USB) to the session hall where your lecture is taking place
during the coffee or lunch break prior to your session. Your presentation
will be loaded onto the laptop computer in the hall.
- Video Presentation will be available for those who have pre-ordered
it (VHS multi-system format only).
- Overhead projection (projection of transparencies) will be
available for those who have pre-ordered it. Please bring your presentation
to the session hall where your lecture is taking place during the coffee
or lunch break prior to your session.
If you would like to use a video or transparencies, please advise us by return e-mail/fax, no later than March 1.
POSTER PRESENTATIONS
All posters are located in the poster section in the exhibition hall.
Posters will be on display for two day periods: Thursday/Friday and Saturday/Sunday.
Your poster should be displayed as per the date and number in the Programme.
Posters are to be mounted from 08:00 to 09:00 on the first day of your
assigned days. Please remove your poster at the conclusion of sessions
on the second day of your poster display period.
REGISTRATION
If you have not sent your registration fees, kindly do so as soon as possible
via the Congress website: www.kenes.com/aep2004.
This will ensure inclusion of your abstract/s in the Programme and Abstract
Book.

To ensure good order, please remember to bring your confirmation of your
paid registration to the Registration Desk upon your arrival to the Congress.
