PRELIMINARY SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME INTRODUCTION

YOUNG PSYCHIATRISTS PROGRAMME

The organising committee has made an effort to give special attention to the young psychiatrists attending the congress.

A young psychiatrists' lounge will be available with a capacity of hosting about 50 people with coffee, drinks, snacks and a poster board. This lounge will provide a special meeting point for the exchange of information and professional experiences.

The Meet the Expert Sessions are designed to primarily target psychiatrists of the younger generation. In these sessions, four leading figures of European psychiatry (Prof. J. Angst, Switzerland; Prof. G. Sedvall, Sweden; Prof. I. Brockington, UK; Prof. R. Murray, UK) will interact freely with a group of about 100 psychiatrists.

During each session, a young psychiatrist will introduce the expert by outlining the main stages of his scientific and professional career. After this introduction, the participants will be invited to interact freely with the expert. The interaction will primarily focus on the expert's research interests and professional experience as well as on perspectives for future research. The facilitator of each session will be a young psychiatrist proposed by the European Federation of Psychiatric Trainees. Those interested in participating in these sessions should pre-register (at no extra cost).

The organising committee has compiled the following list of selected events that may also be of special interest to younger colleagues:
