AEP 2008 invites recent graduates to its specialist program tailored to the needs of the young psychiatrist.
This year’s Young Psychiatrist’s program is entitled “Visions in European Psychiatry for Young Psychiatrists and Trainees”. The program offers the following benefits:
Reduced Fees: Young Psychiatrists pay a reduced rate for the AEP congress
Young Psychiatrists Coffee Lounge: Providing a central and integral part of the program serving as a central meeting point for networking and recruitment
Research Prizes to be awarded to young psychiatriststhree research prizes of € 2,500 (two thousand five hundred Euros) will be awarded to young psychiatrists, working in Europe, who have published the best scientific papers
Welcome session for Young Psychiatrists: An integrated part of the general welcome session, and followed by a social event, this welcome session aims to assist young psychiatrists in explaining the format of the congress and giving an overview of the AEP’s history and activities
Young Psychiatrists Symposium: Focusing this year on the following:
-Identity of future psychiatrists in Europe
-Job satisfaction and job profiles of young psychiatrists in Europe
Interactive Clinical Session “Visions in the Treatment of Schizophrenia”: In cooperation with the Lundbeck Institute this session will offer a unique opportunity for Young Psychiatrists and Trainees to participate in an interactive session on state-of-the-art treatment of schizophrenic disorders for free. This session will cover an update of all aspects of clinical case management in the psychotic patient.
Happy Hour Meetings: Three sessions addressing clinical and academic psychiatry issues relevant to YP and trainees. Topics include:
How to publish a scientific paper?
Is training in psychotherapy relevant for good psychiatric practice?
Mental Health in Europe
Meet the Expert Sessions: These sessions provide young psychiatrists with the opportunity to hear leading figures of European psychiatry in an informal and relaxed atmosphere
Special fee for participating at the Presidential Dinner: an opportunity for the young psychiatrists to participate in the Presidential Dinner, attended by the invited speakers of the congress.
