Welcome Letter

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The Canadian Society for the Study of the Aging Male (CSSAM) in association with the International Society for the Study of the Aging Male (ISSAM) takes great pleasure in inviting you to participate in the North American Congress on the Aging Male to be held at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, February 2 - 5, 2005.

The changes that men undergo as they age are only now beginning to be recognized.
An increasing understanding of changes of metabolism, endocrine factors, mood and cognition, genito-urinary function, cardiovascular disease, sexual function, and other bodily systems, has led to more research and to therapeutic intervention. Study of the Aging Male is a new discipline. Our Congress will bring together a roster of international experts from multidisciplinary backgrounds, to be part of the first such Congress in North America.

This Congress is intended for all practitioners with an interest in the aging male, particularly clinicians and researchers from the areas of urology, psychiatry, geriatrics, endocrinology, gynecology and general practice.

Vancouver is set against a backdrop of natural wonder uniting urban excitement with outdoor adventure like no other city in the world! Vancouver is nestled in a vast and beautiful outdoor playground that encompasses the entire gamut of natural and urban adventures; you can ski on nearby mountains or take a short trip to world-class skiing at the Whistler-Blackcomb complex. Vancouver’s cultural life abounds, set against a background of one of the world’s most picturesque harbours.

We hope to see you among the participants in Vancouver at what will be a unique and stimulating congress in an outstanding setting.

Sincerely,

Irwin Kuzmarov,
