REGISTRATION/INFORMATION/SECRETARIAT DESKS
Registration desks will be situated in Palexpo as follows:
Wednesday, February 20 from 16:00 - 20:00.
The desks will reopen on Thursday, February 21 at 07:45 and will stay open throughout the sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.


BADGE
On registering you will receive your Congress kit in which you will find your name badge. You are kindly requested to wear your badge during all Congress sessions and events.

LANGUAGE
The official language of the Congress is English.

SPEAKERS READY ROOM (Oral Presentations)
A speakers' ready room will be provided for speakers and will be available every day 30 minutes prior to sessions.
Audiovisual Equipment

  1. Overhead projection (projection of transparencies). If using transparencies, please inform the technician in the Speakers' Ready Room at least 30 minutes before the start of your session.
  2. Slide projection (projection of 35mm slides). If using slides, you are requested to load them in a slides tray and check them in the Speakers' Ready Room at least 30 minutes prior to the start of your session. Please collect them immediately afterwards.
  3. If using a Powerpoint (or any other computer) presentation, you may supply your own laptop as a backup and check it in the same hall as your session, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session (during breaks). If using video, please ensure that it is VHS multi-system format.

POSTERS
Posters will be on display on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and will change every day. Please check your poster scheduling in the program. Your poster should be displayed as per the Board No. in the Program. Posters are to be mounted from 07:45-08:30 on the day your poster is scheduled. Please remove your poster at the conclusion of sessions on your assigned day. The Organizing Committee will not be responsible for posters which are not removed on time. Poster presenters are requested to be present at their poster board during coffee breaks.

TRANSPORTATION
Registered participants and registered accompanying persons will be able to use public transport, free of charge, between the various hotels and the Congress venue, as well as other bus lines, on displaying their Congress name badge between February 20-24, 2002.

LIST OF PARTICIPANTS
A list of participants who have registered prior to the Congress is displayed on the bulletin board. Please amend/add your name and address to the list.

TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION
Kuoni Travel, the official Congress travel agent, will operate a Hospitality Desk during the Congress. Participants requiring additional hotel accommodation in Switzerland, tours by coach or by private vehicles with driver/guide, domestic flights, car rentals, etc. should apply to the Hospitality Desk at their earliest convenience.


EXHIBITION

A professional exhibition will be held concurrently with the Congress.

PERSONAL INSURANCE

We recommend that all participants take out a personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

CLIMATE

The weather in Geneva in February is very changeable. The days fluctuate between sunny and warm and quite cold.
Temperatures range from 5°C - 15°C.

CLOTHING

Informal for all occasions; please bring sunglasses, walking shoes and a warm coat.
