THE GOSPEL SISTERS
Susanne and Anette are sisters. Both have been interested in singing since childhood and later became members of the "Girls Choir of Radio Denmark".
This
lead to the formation of the girls quartet "Confetti", where the repertoire
was barbershop, negro spirituals and jazz. In 1986 they joined singing in the
duet "Kiwi and Tess" that launched three single records in modern disco
style which were on the charts for months in Great Britain, Germany and Italy.
Both sang in the gospel choir "Unity" and the gospel choir "Witnessing" for about nine years, and Susanne was the conductor of both of these choirs, that became renowned through performances on Radio and TV Denmark and through several recordings.
Both have been educated as physiotherapists and Anette now does further studies in music at the Royal Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. Both have had song roles in the Danish version of the Disney movie "Hercules".
Since 1998 they have been part of the trio group "Gospel Sisters", that concentrates on contemporary gospel and soul music but also on jazz and other popular music on tours in Denmark and Malaysia. Both sisters have produced their own compositions and lyrics and one or both have been travelling in Malaysia, Bahrein, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi and Marocco with the "Swedish Jazz Band" to represent Scandinavia in collaboration with Scandinavian Embassies abroad.
