It is our honor and pleasure to invite you to participate in Biomed
Israel 2006, to be held in Jerusalem from May 29-31, 2006.
This year’s event, Biomed Israel 2006, follows the success of
the previous annual Biotech Israel conferences. Notably, last year Biotech
Israel was fortunate to host world renowned keynote speakers including
Nobel Laureate Aaron Ciechanover, Prof. Leroy Hood, Founder of The Institute
for Systems Biology, Mr. Fredrick Frank Vice Chairman of Lehman Brothers,
Steven Burril of Burril & Co and Dr. Murray Lumpkin, Acting Deputy
Commissioner of the US FDA. Over 2000 scientist, engineers and businesspeople
participated in the conference, with over 400 participants from abroad.
After last year’s event, the Biotech Israel organizing committee
decided to integrate the vibrant and successful Israeli medical device
sector into the annual conference. This commitment is reflected in the
change of name from Biotech Israel to Biomed Israel.
With this change,
the organizing committee is committed to making the Biomed Israel conference
the annual general meeting and showcase of the entire Israeli life sciences
industry. This new broader focus creates a unique opportunity for everyone
involved in our industry to meet and network, and for visitors from abroad
to become acquainted with the entire life sciences industry in Israel
at one high quality event.
Allow us to point out major planned events:
Therapeutic Sessions: Following the success of last year, the program will include three sessions dedicated to therapeutic areas, Cardiology, Orthopedics and Nerve Stimulation. Keynote Speakers will discuss innovations in science and technology.
Diagnostic: Two sessions will be dedicated to Biomarkers and Imaging. We believe that these two areas are key to drug developments and will play a major role in the future trend for personalized medicine.
The “Healthcare Beyond 2010” session will close the conference. This topic will be covered by presentations and roundtable discussions involving scientists and pharma executives.
Last but not least of course, our participants from abroad will have the opportunity to visit our beautiful country during the spring.
We look forward to your support and participation, and will provide
more information and details as the conferences take shape.
