DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF ABSTRACTS: 
NOVEMBER 15, 1999

1. The abstract should be as informative as possible:

a) state specific object of study c) summarize results obtained
b) state method used, if pertinent d) state conclusions reached

2. Standard abbreviations may be used.

3. Because the abstract will be reproduced in the Book of Abstracts, please avoid corrections, smudges, errors and misspellings. Abstracts which are unsuitable for reproduction will be retyped by the Secretariat at a cost of US$ 25.00 to the presenting author.

4. Inclusion in the Scientific Program and Book of Abstracts is dependent on payment of registration fees.

5. Slide projectors (single or double for 5X5cm slides) and an overhead projector will be available for oral presentations.

6. Abstracts should be submitted in English on the official form and sent by airmail OR by e-mail. Please do not send your abstract(s) by more than one of the above methods.

A. SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS BY AIRMAIL

The entire abstract (about 250 words), including title, author(s), institution(s), country and acknowledgements, must fit within the rectangle (18cm height X 13cm width).

Please AIRMAIL your abstract together with five photocopies and a diskette on ASCII file to:

B. SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS VIA E-MAIL

-Please adhere to the size limits. Abstracts should contain about 250 words including title, author(s),
country and acknowledgements.

          -Recommended font is Helvetica 9. Title should be typed in
           CAPITAL LETTERS 

-Please make sure that all information requested on the abstract form also appears on your e-mail (ie full address for return correspondence, requested topic etc.) Do NOT reproduce the blue frame on the abstract form as part of your e-mail abstract.

-Please make sure to indicate the presenting author.

         -In case of submission of multiple abstracts, please send each  
          abstract as a separate e-mail message.

        -All abstracts should be submitted to the following e-mail address:

-Abstracts may be submitted via electronic mail using one of the following options:

Option 1 - ASCII Format
Abstracts should be typed or pasted directly in the message itself.

Option 2 - Attachment
Abstracts should be attached to the e-mail message using Word 6 or Word 7 for Windows.

Document borders should form a rectangular of 13cm width x 18cm length (5.2" x 7.4") including title, author(s) and text.
It is possible to use graphics and charts within the abstract. No endnotes, footnotes nor frames are acceptable.

Faxed abstracts are NOT acceptable.
