ORIENTATION TOUR OF THE OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2000

Drive around the ancient Old City Walls built by Suliman the Magnificent in 1517, with its centuries old seven open gates and the sealed Golden Gate, which will, according to the legend, be opened by the Messiah when he comes.

An exciting view of the Old City begins with a climb to the highest point of the Citadel Museum. This fortress complex, dating from the time of the Maccabees, now houses the stimulating Museum of the History of Jerusalem, which we visit for an overview of the Holy City's growth and development.
Proceed to Mount Zion for a visit to the Room of the Last Supper and David Tomb.

Drive through the valley of the cross you will conclude the tour with a breathtaking view from the Haas Promenade, which affords a magnificent view of Jerusalem.
Continue to a Reception at the Israel Museum.
