Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is my great pleasure to invite you to attend the 38th annual meeting
of the International Continence Society which will take place in Cairo,
Egypt from 20-24 October, 2008.
The programme will feature two days of Educational Courses and Workshops, followed by the Scientific Programme and Exhibition.
Tours and social events
will include the 'Sound and Light' display at the Pyramids and Tours to Luxor, Abu Simbel and the Red Sea, before and after the meeting.
Egypt - "Om El Donia" (Mother of the World) has a rich and ancient civilization. The country's central location, with the Mediterranean Sea in the north and the Red Sea in the east has brought many challenges and an absorbing history. Visitors to Egypt will meet a fascinating culture - ancient pharaohs, modern cities and outstanding hospitality ...
The Meeting venue will be the Cairo International Congress Center (CICC), conveniently located in the residential Heliopolis area, midway between Cairo International Airport and the bustling downtown.
In addition to a full scientific programme, the ICS in Cairo, offers you the opportunity to visit truly breath-taking sights such as the Pyramids, the magnificent River Nile and the Sphinx. Cairo (meaning "The Conqueror") is also a modern city with shopping as varied as traditional markets and sparkling new malls.
ICS 2008 will also host the first World Continence Day. This aims to raise awareness of bladder and bowel health issues and improve the lives of people with incontinence worldwide. The day's activities will highlight the life situation of people with incontinence, the contributions of ICS, national continence promotion organizations and health care professionals, stressing the value of a multidisciplinary approach in continence care.
Join us in October 2008 for what promises to be an unforgettable Meeting!
