The Bazaars of Istanbul  
Friday, March 30, 2007 09:00 – 13:00 hours
The tour will commence with a visit and opportunity to shop at the Egyptian Bazaar (spice market) associated with Yeni Camii (the New Mosque). It is one of Istanbul’s great covered Bazaars, containing all aromas reminiscent of the mysteries of 1001 nights. The spice market offers herbs and spices, dried fruits and nuts, and various Turkish delights. The tour will continue with a visit to the Grand Covered Bazaar, the labyrinth of 4000 shops which is an enchanting experience in itself and an opportunity to see the various delights Turkey has to offer.

 

Exploring Asia “Same City … Another Continent”
Saturday, March 31, 2007 09:00 – 13:00 hours
Drive over the Intercontinental Bosphorus Bridge to Camlica Hill on the Asian Side. Explore the magnificent view of Istanbul while standing on the Asian continent. Visit the Beylerbeyi Palace, a 19th century summer residence and guesthouse of the Ottoman Sultans, entirely made of marble and known for its beautiful works of art, including Oriental and European furniture, paintings and porcelain.

Both tours will depart from, and return to the Hilton Istanbul Hotel at approximately 13:00 hours. Comfortable walking shoes recommended.
