It gives us great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 4th International Symposium on Diabetes and Pregnancy, which will take place in Istanbul, Turkey from May 29-31, 2007.

The past Symposia in this series met with great success and gave hundreds of our colleagues the chance to exchange ideas in a very complex and controversial field – diabetes in pregnancy. The Symposium will be geared to specialists in diabetes, endocrinology, gynecology and obstetrics, perinatology, neonatology, basic scientists, pediatrics, midwives, nurses, nutritionists and dietitians.

Istanbul in the spring is the charming venue of the Symposium. It has been said that Istanbul is the last eastern city when traveling from the east and last western city when traveling from the west. The city, located on two continents, has a very rich social and cultural heritage. It is endowed with unrivalled beauty complimented by unique juxtaposition of ancient and modern. The capital of successive Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman empires, Istanbul offers visitors all the sophisticated delights of a big modern city. What better reason to explore this city of paradox with countless treasures.
