All registered accompanying persons are invited to join the following two
half day tours departing at 09:00 from the lobby of the Hotel Inter-Continental
Berlin.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2000
PANORAMIC CITY TOUR
This tour will enable participants a visit the special sights of Berlin's
history. The Gedachtniskirche (Wilhelm's Memorial Church), Kurfurstendamm, the
Hansa Quarter that was destroyed during World War II and rebuilt in 1955, The
Philharmonic Hall, Potsdam Square which is the new heart of the new Berlin, the
Victory Column, The Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag Building - the seat of the
German Bundestag, Checkpoint Charlie and many more, will be the goal of this
tour.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2000
CHARLOTTENBURG CASTLE AND EGYPTIAN MUSEUM
The Charlottenburg Castle is without any doubt the finest example of royal
Prussian architecture in Berlin. The guests will be guided through the New Wing,
will walk along the Gallery of the Romantics and will see paintings of Kuger,
Watteau, Chardin, Boucher, etc.
Across the street from the castle, stands the Egyptian Museum housing the
marvelous treasures from the days of the Pharaohs and the beautiful Nefertiti,
over 3000 years old.
