The official language of the congress is English, however, special
lectures will be conducted in German (please refer to the timetable). All
publications will be printed in English.

Fees for all registered Participants include: participation in scientific
sessions, printed material, coffee breaks and an invitation to the Welcome
Reception.
Fees for registered Accompanying Persons include: an invitation to the Welcome
Reception and two half-day tours.
Fees for the Refresher course include: participation in the sessions on
Thursday, December 7 and coffee breaks.
Registration Cancellation Policy
Refund of registration fees will be made as follows:
Airmail post-marked* before August 31, 2000- full refund less € 40 handling
fee
Airmail post-marked* from September 1, to October 31, 2000 - 50% refund
Airmail post-marked* after November 1, 2000 - no refund

Letter of Invitation
Upon request, the Secretariat will send a personal invitation to
participate in the congress. It should be understood that such an invitation is
only meant to help visitors to raise travel funds or obtain a visa. It is not a
commitment on the part of the organisers to provide any financial support and is
not a notification that the abstract has been accepted for presentation.

Weather
Berlin in December is very cold (often below freezing) but winter is
a very romantic time to visit Berlin, especially during the 4 weeks before
Christmas when the Christmas street markets are in full swing.

Deutsche Bahn
 Deutsche
Bahn is offering all congress participants a 15% reduction, valid only for
the German territory, on return tickets to Berlin. A voucher to be presented
upon the purchase of the ticket can be obtained from the secretariat.
Airport Assistance
Assistance and special transfers from the major Berlin Airports can
be available upon request and at an extra cost.
