GALILEE SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 - MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2000

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2000

08:30- Please be ready in the lobby with your luggage for your tour.
Depart hotel and pass the Inn of Good Samaritan, Jericho and the Jordan Valley on your way to Beit Shean, the amazing Roman City recently excavated. Stroll along the main city streets, theatres, baths and shops of reconstructed Scitopolis.
Travel along the beauty of the region and the shores of the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum where Jesus called upon Peter and Andrew to be fishers of man and cured Peter's Mother in-law. Continue to Tabgah site where Jesus performed the miracle of multiplication of loaves and fish.
Dinner and overnight: Kibbutz Guesthouse, Galilee

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2000

Ascend from 200 meter below sea level to the Galilee Mountains through the winding road to Cana, where during the wedding ceremony Jesus performed his first miracle, changing water into wine.
Travel to Nazareth for a visit to the Church of Annunciation where the Archangel Gabriel announced the birth of Jesus to Mary. Continue towards the coast of the Mediterranean for a visit to Caesarea - Herod's Capital, old Crusader City, the Roman Theatre and Aqueduct.
Proceed to Tel Aviv for overnight and breakfast at a Deluxe Hotel in Tel Aviv.

MASSADA

09:00-Please be ready in the lobby for your tour.
Drive to fortress site of Massada, built by King Herod the Great, King of Judea in the Roman Period. Ascend by cable car to this fortess served as the last place of refuge for 965 men, women and children, survivors of the "Great Revolt". Besieged by the Romans and losing all hope, they chose death rather than surrender. Enjoy a detailed explanation, returning to the hotel at approximately 13:00 hours
