Kenes International has appointed O.D.S. (Omar's Destination Services) as its tours company. They will be offering a selection of tours in and around Istanbul .
Daily city tours will be operated on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 and Sunday,September 14, 2008 based on a minimum of 4 participants per tour.
(Bursa tour needs 6 participants)..

IMPORTANT NOTE:

All tours include coach transfer, English-speaking guide and all entrance fees.
The tours will depart and return from/to your hotel.

TOUR 1 – Istanbul Classic (Half Day Morning)
St. Sophia
The magnificent Byzantine Church; one of the finest architectural works in the world. It has been nominated as the 8th wonder of the world by many historians.
Blue
Mosque

One of the largest mosques in Istanbul dating from the 17th century it is one of the principal adornments on he skyline of Istanbul. Also famous for its blue tiles and 6 minarets.
Hippodrome
The former centre of sportive and political activities of Constantinople. During the visit you’ll be able to see the Obelisk from Egypt Serpentine Column from Delphi and fountain of Wilhelm II.
Grand Bazaar
In addition to its historical importance, it’s a bazaar that will tempt even the non-shoppers with its rich collection of precious handmade carpets, jewellery, leather and souvenirs.

TOUR 2 – Ottoman Relics (Half Day Afternoon)
Topkapi Palace
The former imperial residence from where the Great Ottoman Empire was ruled. Today a spectacular museum that has one of the largest collections of Chinese and Japanese porcelain.
Rustem Pasa Mosque
Rustem Pasa Mosque, masterpiece of Sinan, the chief architect of the Ottoman Empire, built in the name of Rustem Pasa who was grand vezir of Sultan Suleyman and son-in-law during the 16th century, might built rival of his imperial master, Suleymaniye Mosque, The Magnificent.
Golden Horn
Drive along the Golden Horn by the Roman Land walls and Churches of Byzantine Period.
Topkapi Palace Harem section is not included. Visits are due to extra entrance fee upon request

TOUR 4 - Bosphorus Cruise (Half Day)
After a short visit to the famous Egyptian Spice Bazaar (closed on Sunday), an unforgettable excursion starts between two continents. Europe and Asia. The cruise takes you along the Bosphorus, past the European style palaces of The Ottomans, Dolmabahce and Beylerbeyi, as well as beautiful wooden kiosks from 19th century. Also mansions and modern villas which form the elegant sections of the city.

Operates by private boat all year round.
Bosphorus Tours are practiced with regular boat if minimum number of attendants is not provided for the private boat.

TOUR 5 – Two Continents (Full Day Tour, including lunch)
Egyptian Spice Market A short visit to the famous oriental shopping area where spices, herbs, vegetables, fruits are sold.
Bosphorus Cruise
An unforgettable excursion starts between two continents. Europe and Asia. The cruise takes you along the Bosphorus, past the European style palaces of The Ottomans, Dolmabahce and Beylerbeyi, as well as beautiful wooden kiosks from 19th century. Disembark in Sariyer a small village by the Bosphorus on the European side.
Lunch at a typical Turkish Restaurant with deluxe set menu (drinks are extra)
Bosphorus Bridge
After lunch, crossing over the intercontinental suspension bridge, you will go to Asia side.
Camlica Hill First stop will be the highest point of Istanbul which offers the possibility of taking the best pictures of the panoramic view.
Dolmabahce Palace
The Dolmabahce Palace became the main Palace of the Empire when it was built is a conglomeration of European architectural styles.
Operates by private boat all year round.
Bosphorus Tours are practiced with regular boat if minimum number of attendants is not provided for the private boat.

Tour 6 - Prince’s Island (Full Day Tour, including lunch)

After a relaxing cruise on the Marmara Sea, you will arrive to Buyukada, famous for its beautifully decorated old wooden houses, pine trees and wonderful panoramic views. The tour will include a horse carriage drive through quiet, narrow streets around the island, good food at a seafood restaurant. And time for leisure. This resort is 28 km. Off Istanbul in the south eastern part of Marmara Sea.

Tour 7 - Istanbul by Night
After a short drive, you will be taken to an exclusive night-club where you will taste the joy of the famous Turkish cuisine. Four course dinner including drink will be served while the spectacular oriental Show will be performed by well-known belly dancers, folk groups from various regions of Anatolia and Turkish singers.

Tour 8 – Green Bursa (Full Day Tour, including lunch)

The First Capital of Ottoman Empire & Oldest Village: Departure by ferry-boat to Yalova then drive to bursa to visit the Green Mosque, Green Mausoleum, Grand Mosque. After lunch at a very nice “Kebab” restaurant, visit the covered Bazaar and Old silk Market, then climb by cable car to Uludag (Olympus) mountain overlooking Bursa for the magnificent, panoramic view.

Tour 9 – Ephesus Tour (Full Day Tour, including lunch) from Istanbul

Meet at the Izmir airport, then proceed full day tour to Ephesus. Proceed to Ephesus - Enter through the Magnesia Gate and begin a slow, downhill walk with your guide into the ruins of this Roman provincial capital. Your route takes you past the Odeum, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Great Theater. The Theater had seating for 25,000, was the site where St. Paul preached to the Ephesians, and is used today for a local spring festival. Lunch will be at local restaurants. After then we will visit The House of Virgin Mary - The Vatican has recognized this small house in the Solmissos Mountains as the final resting place of the Virgin Mary. A small shrine dedicated to St. Mary was found when the ruins of the house were first discovered. Final visit will be St. John Basilica and his tomb. Drive to Izmir Airport and flight back to Istanbul.

TWO DAYS CAPPADOCIA TOUR
DAY 1 ISTANBUL / KAYSERI / CAPPADOCIA
Tour starts in the morning from the Kayseri airport. Drive to Cappadocia. Arrive and visit Dervent, Pasabag Valley, Urgup & Naturel Citadel of Uçhisar. Lunch will be at local restaurant. After lunch drive to Avanos village to see how to make clay pottery. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia (L,D).
DAY 2 CAPPADOCIA / KAYSERI / ISTANBUL
After breakfast first visit will be to the "Göreme Open Air Museum" the land of earthen pyramids, stone dwellings, rock chapels and monasteries painted with colorful frescoes. Lunch in one of the local restaurant served with region specialities. Then we will visit Kaymakli Underground city. The last site of the tour is Pasabag Valley, drive to Kayseri and flight back to Istanbul (B, L).

Tour starts the morning from the hotel or from the airport. Visit the Hittite Museum and Mausoleum of Ataturk. After lunch drive to Cappadocia, dinner & overnight (L,D).
Day 2 CAPPADOCIA
Breakfast at the hotel, morning visit to the underground city of Kaymaklı & Citadel of Uchisar. After lunch continue with the valley of "Göreme Open Air Museum”, Cavusin village, Pasabag valley and Avanos. Dinner & overnight (B,L,D).
DAY 3 CAPPADOCIA / KAYSERI
After breakfast transfer to the Kayseri Airport for flight back Istanbul. Free time according to flight time to Istanbul. (B)

TWO DAYS AGEAN WONDERS TOUR
DAY 1 ISTANBUL / KUSADASI / PAMUKKALE
Meet at the Izmir airport and proceed to Ephesus, visit the Shrine of Virgin Mary situated on the Solmissos Mountain where supposedly she spent her last years. Then see the ruins from the period of St.Paul. See Odeon, Fountain Temples, Brothel, Library, Great Theatre, Gymnasium and Stadium. After lunch break, visit St. John’s Basilica and his tomb, Temple of Diana (one of the seven wonders of the ancient world) and drive to Pamukkale and overnight. (L, D)
DAY 1 PAMUKKALE / KUSADASI / ISTANBUL
After breakfast, visit Pamukkale (the cotton castle) one of the most spectacular sites. See the wonderful formations of satalactite and watch the cataracts falling into basin at the bottom of the mountain. Walk around the ancient city of Hierapolis, the monuments and thermal baths, see the theatre with its very well preserved stage and temple of Apollo. Lunch en route. Then drive to Aphrodisias, an archeological site which has been excavated by the late Prof.Kenan Erim of the New York University. See its well-preserved Stadium, Theatre, Baths, Agora, and an outstanding Museum. Return to Izmir for flight back Istanbul. (B,L)
