BADGE
On registering you will receive your Congress kit in which
you will find your name badge. You are kindly requested to wear
your badge during all Congress sessions and events.

LANGUAGE
English is the official language of the Congress. All
presentations will be made in English.
SESSIONS
Please make sure to be in session halls on time as all
sessions will begin as per schedule.
PRESS CENTRE
A press room with telephone, fax and on-line access is available
to registered journalists. Journalists may register in advance at
the Registration Desk.
EFNS WEBSITE
We are pleased to announce the launching of the new EFNS
interactive website: www.efns.org.
Please visit and try it hands on at the specially assigned computers,
near the cyber café.
COFFEE BREAKS
Coffee and tea will be served in the exhibition and poster
hall during coffee breaks.
LUNCH BREAKS
Registered participants will receive 3 lunch vouchers
(Saturday, Sunday, Monday). Please make sure to present these vouchers
in order to receive lunch.
An additional lunch voucher for Saturday, August 30 will be available
for speakers and registered participants of the Teaching Courses.
SPEAKERS READY ROOM (oral presentations)
A speakers' ready room will be provided for speakers and
will be available every day 30 minutes prior to sessions. Please
note that you can check your powerpoint presentation there, but
you have to download it on the Congress laptop computer in the same
session hall as your lecture.
Audiovisual Equipment
- If using a Powerpoint (or any other computer) presentation:
Please bring your presentation (on a 1.44 MB floppy or CD or "disk
on Key"/USB) to the session hall where your lecture is taking
place during the coffee or lunch break prior to your session.
Your presentation will be loaded onto the laptop computer in the
hall. You may supply your own laptop as a backup and check it
in the same hall as your session, during the break prior to your
session.
- Video Presentation will be available for those who have pre-ordered
it (VHS multi-system format only).
- Overhead projection (projection of transparencies). If using
transparencies, please inform the technician in the Speakers'
Ready Room at least 30 minutes before the start of your session.
Please note that slide projection will not be available.
POSTERS
All posters are located in the poster section in the exhibition
hall.
Posters will be on display on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and will
change every day. Your poster should be displayed as per the number
in the Programme. Posters are to be mounted from 08:00 to 09:00
on your assigned day. Please remove your poster at the conclusion
of sessions on your assigned day. The Organising Committee will
not be responsible for posters that are not removed on time.
Authors are requested to be present at their posters during the
poster session for which their poster has been scheduled. At that
time, poster chairpersons will walk around and discuss posters selected
by the Congress Programme Committee. The best poster of each day
will be awarded a poster prize consisting of a travel grant of €
1,500 for participation in the 8th EFNS Congress, Paris, September
4 - 7, 2004.
CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
The Certificate of Attendance is included in your participant
kit.
INTERNET CAFÉ
An Internet Café kindly sponsored by Lundbeck for
participants use will be available during exhibition hours.

SMOKING POLICY
Smoking is prohibited at all times in the meeting halls,
exhibit halls and restrooms. Your compliance is appreciated.
MOBILE PHONES
Please note that mobile phones must be switched off during
all sessions.
TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM THE CONGRESS CENTRE
A recent survey of eight European cities placed Helsinki
near the top of the charts for the smooth running of its public
transport and the standard of its service. Overall satisfaction
with the Helsinki service is extremely high, and the city came top
of the league for the reliability of its public transport. It also
surpassed its competitors on the questions measuring inhabitants'
attitudes to their public transport.
All registered participants will be provided with a complimentary
3 day Travel Card.
This card is valid for 3 days for travel throughout the city on
all forms of transport: buses, metro, local trains and trams.
