The
Lundbeck International Neuroscience Foundation has established a
Prize for Education in Psychiatry and Neurology that will reward
particularly valuable achievements in the field of postgraduate
education in psychiatry and neurology.
The educational Prize is designed to reward improvements in the
system of postgraduate training and to encourage future activities.
The training (in a particular institution or at country level) should
be carried out by an individual or a group of individuals. A jury
composed of experts in postgraduate education will make the selection
of the winner of the Prize. In its assessment of the improvement,
the jury will examine the nature of the reforms and its effects.
In 2003, the prize will be awarded to one person or a group of
people regardless of nationality and age. The contribution may be
within a university, institute, or any other acknowledged scientific
institution independent of the pharmaceutical industry.
It will be handed out during the closing ceremony of the EFNS Congress
in Helsinki on 2 September 2003.
The jury consists of members from the EFNS and members from the
Lundbeck International Neuroscience Foundation Board.
