The Lundbeck International Neuroscience Foundation
Prize: 10,000 Euro
Deadline 15 July 2003

The Lundbeck International Neuroscience Foundation has established a Prize for Education in Psychiatry and Neurology that will reward particularly valuable achievements in the field of postgraduate education in psychiatry and neurology.

The educational Prize is designed to reward improvements in the system of postgraduate training and to encourage future activities. The training (in a particular institution or at country level) should be carried out by an individual or a group of individuals. A jury composed of experts in postgraduate education will make the selection of the winner of the Prize. In its assessment of the improvement, the jury will examine the nature of the reforms and its effects.

In 2003, the prize will be awarded to one person or a group of people regardless of nationality and age. The contribution may be within a university, institute, or any other acknowledged scientific institution independent of the pharmaceutical industry.

It will be handed out during the closing ceremony of the EFNS Congress in Helsinki on 2 September 2003.

The jury consists of members from the EFNS and members from the Lundbeck International Neuroscience Foundation Board.
