Dear Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the forthcoming
7th Congress of the European Federation of Neurological Societies
- EFNS, which is scheduled to take place in Helsinki, Finland, August
30 - September 2, 2003.
It is a wonderful opportunity to visit one of the most exciting
northern cities of the European Union
and to participate in a leading congress in neurology.
Similar to the previous EFNS congresses, the scientific programme
will be composed of teaching courses and plenary sessions covering
the progress in the main fields of neurology. In addition,
a large number of exciting focused workshops and special sessions
are included.
Oral and poster sessions will complete the programme; please review
the abstract guidelines to submit your research and clinical studies
for presentation during the Congress.
The EFNS will be offering 100 bursaries consisting of free registration
to the congress and four nights accommodation at a three star hotel
to European neurologists under the age of 35 who are not yet in
a permanent position and whose abstracts have been accepted.
For the first time, a tournament of young neurologists will take
place at an EFNS congress.
The tournament will be carried out in two groups: (a) for participants
who are fluent in English
and (b) for others who judge themselves as less proficient in English.
Also innovating will be a session on "Late breaking news"
and a special poster session on "Ongoing clinical trials".
An exciting cultural and social programme has been planned.
We are sure that your visit will be academically, educationally
and socially rewarding and we look forward to welcoming you to the
7th EFNS Congress in Helsinki to celebrate global advances in neurology.
