Public Transport Travel Ticket

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the body responsible for the formulation of a regional transport strategy in the West of Scotland.

Upon registration you will receive a ticket entitling you to unlimited travel in the SPT area on all modes of public transportation during the congress dates: September 2-5.

The ticket will allow unlimited travel in the SPT area on all local rail services, on most bus and some ferry services, and on the Subway system serving Glasgow. The ticket may also be utilised for transport to the Airport on your departure from Glasgow, if departing prior to or on September 5, 2006.

The ticket is valid for use from Saturday, September 2 to Tuesday, September 5, 2006 ONLY. The travel ticket portion shows that it expires on Saturday, September 9, 2006, but this is only to make it readily recognizable to staff. Please do not attempt to use the Ticket after Tuesday, September 5, 2006; to do so would be improper use of the Ticket.

The Ticket is not transferable. Please write your name and address on the reverse of the Congress portion.

The first time you intend to travel on the Subway, please present your Ticket at any Subway Station ticket office prior to using the automatic barriers. It will then be validated for Subway journeys.

If you require any public transport information, do not hesitate to use the facilities available at the SPT Travel Centres situated close to the Domestic Arrivals (baggage reclaim) at Glasgow Airport and at St. Enoch Square and Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow. These Travel Centres are staffed by trained personell who are able to provide comprehensive travel information on services throughout Strathclyde and beyond.

For further information and in order to view the map showing the area covered and listing the participating operators, please visit the SPT website: www.spt.co.uk
