TRAVEL INFORMATION
CONNECTIONS BETWEEN BRUSSELS AIRPORT AND CITY CENTRE

By Train
The airport train station is located below the terminal (basement level-1). Up to 4 trains an hour connect the airport to Brussels North, Brussels Central (situated in the city centre) and Brussels Midi stations.

By Taxi
Taxis with a taximeter are permanently available in front of the arrivals hall. The fare from the airport to the city centre of Brussels is normally around € 35. Licensed taxis can be recognized by the blue and yellow emblem.

By Bus
The bus station is one floor down from the arrivals hall and can be easily reached by using the escalators or elevators.
MIVB/STIB
Express buses operated by the MIVB/STIB (line 12) run a direct service between NATO headquarters and the European institutions in Brussels. This Airport Line only has five stops: Schuman - Diamant - Genève - Germinal and NATO. On working days the buses run from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a frequency of three per hour. Outside of these hours the service is limited to Schuman.
The service is operated with comfortable buses with plenty of baggage storage space.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT TRAVEL TICKET
Upon registration participants will receive a travel ticket entitling them to unlimited travel on all modes of public transportation. This card is valid for the duration of the congress dates: August 25-28, 2007.
Brussels Expo, the Congress venue is easily accessible by public transportation. There is a wide-spread network of public transportation including trams, busses and underground (metro).

TRANSPORTATION WITHIN BRUSSELS
Metro
The Brussels metro is considered to be very safe, however, please be aware of pickpockets.
On the map below you will find a map of Brussels’ Metro Lines. The journey from the hotels situated in the city centre to the Congress venue will take approximately 20 minutes.
Taxis
Taxis can be found at specially designated taxi stands, which are located at most tourist attractions and frequently visited places, e.g. around the Grand’Place. There is a starting price which depends on the time of the day. If you leave the city centre, there is an increased rate.
Car
Thanks to the highly efficient road network throughout Belgium, the Brussels Expo is also easy to get to by car. Once you are on the Brussels ring road, take exit 7bis or 8 and follow the signs marked ‘EXPO’. Brussels Expo has the largest car park in the country: Car park C contains over 10,000 spaces.
TRAINS TO OTHER CITIES
Brussels has three main train stations (North, Central and Midi). Trains to Belgian cities go from all three stations. In the Midi Station (or South Station) you can take the Thalys train to Paris (80 minutes) as well as the Eurostar train to London (2 hours and 40 minutes).

POSTERS
Posters will be on display on Sunday and Monday for the duration of one day. Your poster should be displayed as per the number in the Programme. Posters are to be mounted from 08:00 to 09:00 on your assigned day. Please remove your poster at the conclusion of sessions on your assigned day. The Organising Committee will not be responsible for posters that are not removed on time.
Authors are requested to be present at their posters during the poster session for which their poster has been scheduled. At that time, poster chairpersons will be present and discuss posters selected by the Congress Programme Committee.
The best poster of each day will be awarded a poster prize consisting of a travel grant of € 1,500 for participation in the 12th EFNS Congress, Madrid, Spain, August 23-26, 2008, and a free registration to the 2008 Congress.
LUNCH AND COFFEE BREAKS
On August 26-28 coffee/tea and lunch will be offered to all registered participants as per the breaks indicated in the timetable. Catering areas are located in the Exhibition Hall.

Only speakers and registered participants of the Teaching Courses will receive a voucher for lunch on that day. Lunch will be served in the foyer of Hall A.

CYBER CENTRE
A cyber centre will be available for participants' use in the Exhibition Hall during exhibition hours.
