ESPIDTHURSDAY, MAY 19, 2005
HISTORICAL VALENCIA 09:00 - 13:00 hours

This visit is focused on the historical city centre. Panoramic visit travelling along the avenues were the old city walls were located and passing by the Bullring, the art-nouveau Railway Station, the City Hall Square, the Serranos and Quart Towers, the medieval bridges crossing the Turia Gardens (the former Turia riverbed), the Court of Justice. The tour continues towards the oldest part of the city where we will continue the tour on foot, visiting the Central Market, la Lonja (Old Silk Exchange), the Round Square, the Cathedral, the Virgin Square and the Basilica.

FRIDAY, MAY 20, 2005
THE GARDENS OF VALENCIA 09:00 - 13:00 hours

ESPIDPanoramic visit of the city focused on the green areas of Valencia. This tour includes a visit to the Botanical Gardens and the Gardens of Monforte. The Botanical Gardens, whose origin in Valencia dates back from the 16th century, but whose current location is from the 19th century was created for the study and enjoyment of nature. The Gardens of Monforte, from the 19th century, are of a neoclassic and romantic style, inspired by the French gardens of the period, and decorated with sculptures in white stone. There is also a small palace from the same period. We continue the visit with a trip along the Turia Gardens (former Turia riverbed).
