WALTER MARGET EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP
by invitation only

Each year previously, ESPID sponsors an educational workshop for 15 trainees at the annual meeting. The goals and objectives of the workshop are:

  • To discuss, in depth, management of common infectious diseases in children
  • To provide tools to cope with common problems in paediatric infectious diseases
  • To present updated knowledge on common paediatric infectious disease problems
  • To conduct discussions among participants on the management of common problems
  • To provide guidelines for dealing with the problems under discussion

Earlier the workshop has been conducted as early morning sessions. In 2005 the workshop will be reorganised and will be on Saturday 21 May. The number of students will be increased to 20 trainees. The registration deadline for acceptance to the Walter Marget Educational Workshop is 15 February 2005.

This year the workshop will include clinical case reports presented by participants. After a short presentation, interactive discussions chaired by the faculty, will take place. Therefore, after the accepted registration, the fellows or residents are welcome to submit a short abstract (max 100 words) of a case she/he is ready to present for further discussion.
