ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Abstract must be subitted via this website:
Images,
tables, diagrams, graphs must be saved and uploaded as BMP or JPG files.
Other file types cannot be accepted. Please note that these may be resized
to fit in the final printed material.

- Abstracts will be published dependent upon payment
of registration fees by no later than March 30, 2006.
- If you are unable to submit abstracts via
the website, please contact the Secretariat.
- ABSTRACT SUBMITTED BY FAX WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
- Submission of an abstract acknowledges
your acceptance for the abstract to be published in the official Meeting
Abstract Book.
- Presenting authors of abstracts must be registered participants. Registration
should be received at the Secretariat by March 30, 2006 to ensure
the inclusion of the abstract in the Abstract Book and in the Final
Program.
- Abstracts must be original and must not be or have been published
or presented at any other meeting prior to the 24th Annual Meeting
of ESPID.
- Abstracts must be submitted in English.
- The abstract must be received by the announced deadline. Abstracts
received after the deadline will not be considered.
- The Scientific Committee will determine whether the abstract will
be accepted as oral or poster presentation, with consideration given
to the author’s preference.
- ESPID will publish all accepted abstracts in an abstract book and
online (open access) for a period of at least 5 years. The abstract
published online will include the e-mail address of the presenting
author. As a condition of submission, ESPID requires you to agree
to such publication and to surrender any copyright over the abstract
as submitted to ESPID.
ABSTRACT PREPARATION
- Title of abstract must be in upper and lower case.
- Author(s) names me be in upper case (e.g. J J C SMITH)
- Abstracts should contain no more than 280 words, including acknowledgements.
(Abstracts exceeding this limit will not be included for print.
- Abstracts should clearly state:

Results
Conclusions
- Abstracts stating “data will be discussed in the presentation” will
NOT be accepted.
- Use only standard abbreviations. Please special or unusual abbreviations
in parentheses after the full word the first time it appears.
- Use generic names of drugs. Express numbers as numerals
- When submitting your abstract, we will need to receive confirmation
if the work presented in your abstract was supported by an award
from ESPID.

ABSTRACT SELECTION A panel of faculty members will review abstracts and results will
be forwarded to the corresponding author.
Authors will be notified
in March 2006 as to the method of their presentation i.e. oral or poster
presentation.
BEST ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS PRIZES
The best three scientific contributions, either oral (excluding invited
speakers) or poster will receive an award in the amount of EUR 500
at the end of the meeting.
Prizes will be presented to the recipients on Friday, May 5,
2006 during the Farewell Event.
