EUROPEAN PAEDIATRIC LIFE SUPPORT (EPLS) PROVIDER COURSEAntwerp, September 13/15, 2005Organised by the European Resuscitation Council in collaboration with ESPNICThe European Resuscitation Council (ERC) has developed an EPLS Provider Course, based on the ERC Guidelines. The Course is designed for health care workers who - in out-of-hospital or in-hospital environments – are involved in the resuscitation of a newly-born, an infant or a child. The course lasts 2 days and aims at providing the care workers with the knowledge and the skills for ensuring adequate management of the critically ill child, during the first hour of illness. The ERC EPLS manual and the pre-course multiple choice question papers will be issued to the participants one month prior to the course. Competence in paediatric basic life support is a prerequisite.
