WelcomeDear Colleagues, It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the IV ESRA Winter Week to be held in Grindelwald, Switzerland from January 27- February 1, 2008. The purpose of ESRA Winter Week is to once again promote regional anaesthesia in the relaxed atmosphere of the Swiss Alps. The scientific programme is a mix of state-of-the-art lectures, discussions, hands-on workshops and video presentations. The main objectives are to enhance practical knowledge and to improve the skills and performance of Regional Anaesthesiologists and Pain Therapists. The format of the programme has been specifically chosen to achieve these goals. The limited number of participants guarantees a high level of individual participation and interaction, thereby optimizing the personal benefit of this meeting. We have chosen once more the alpine village of Grindelwald to host us, a fitting backdrop of the Wetterhorn, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau will compliment our scientific programme which has been developed to take place during early morning and late afternoon thereby allowing the participants to take advantage of winter sport or the many other leisure activities that this region has to offer.
