Dear Colleague,

In the light of the recent events in Israel the FEBS Executive Committee, together with the Organizing Committee, have regretfully decided to relocate the FEBS 2002 meeting to Istanbul, Turkey, with the support of our Turkish colleagues. The meeting dates of October 20 - 25, 2002 remain unchanged.

Istanbul is an exciting and cosmopolitan venue, bridging Europe and Asia and combining the most sophisticated congress facilities with outstanding tourist sites that reflect this historical, cultural and geographical crossroad.

A rich scientific program will include lectures by the outstanding figures in the field. This outstanding scientific program will be complimented by exciting social events.
We sincerely hope that you will be able to actively participate in FEBS 2002 and look forward to welcoming you in Istanbul.
