PURPOSE: To analyse retreatment options in cases of early or secondary rise of intra-ocular pressure (IOP) after non-penetrating procedures

METHODS: 10 consecutive cases with early or secondary rise of IOP were submitted to retreatment. The treatment choice (goniopuncture, re-dissection, new-dissection) was made upon understanding of the failure proscess. Gonioscopy and UBM, as well as standard ophthalmic examination, were performed in every case.

RESULTS: At mid-term follow up (18-2 months) of all cases reached a target IOP below 16mmHg. One of them required adjunctive medical therapy.

CONCLUSIONS: Understanding the origin of the IOP rise is helpful for choosing adequate retreatment options.
