We used vacuum-compression gonioscopic test for choice the patients with
early stages of glaucoma
for trabeculotomia ab interno. The indication for trabeculotomia ab
interno was condition, when we could observe a reflux of the blood in the
scleral sinus. The operations were made such way: The paracentesis with length
1.5 mm was made paralimbal. The liquid of anterior chamber was changed on the
viscoprotector Healon throw this one. Using of the viscoprotector is very
important, because it help to state the depth of the anterior chamber in
stabile condition, make more wide the angle of anterior chamber, make easier the manipulation and
field of view, defend the cornea and root of the iris from the trauma by
instruments. We established the operation's gonioscope on the surface of the
cornea. The cutting of the trabecular wall of the scleral sinus was made by
special instrument under the good optic control, for a distance of 1/4 the
perimeter approximately. The normalization of intraocular pressure in
postoperation period were in the eyes, there were observed positive
vacuum-gonioscopic test before the operation. The one complication we observed
after the operation was small hyphema. The analyze of late postoperation period
is a subject of our subsequent investigation.
