I have had the opportunity to participate in a clinical trial involving the use of the Morcher Capsular Tension Ring in patients with glaucoma undergoing cataract surgery.

The Morcher Capsular Tension Ring was implanted successfully within the capsular bag in nine eyes in seven patients over a one year period.

These patients had angle closure glaucoma, angle recession glaucoma, and open angle glaucoma. Two patients presented with loose zonules of unknown etiology.

This poster will review our indications for useof the Morcher Capsular Tension Ring, the tech-nique and instrumentation which we recommend

and our results to date.
