Purpose. To study prospectively the success rate, reasons of failure, success of the repeated procedures, of NPDS with collagenplasty of the intrascleral space. To determine the efficacy of using new porous collagen implant.

Methods. Non-randomised perspective trial involving 364 patients with uncontroled primary and secondary open-angle glaucoma. IOP, coefficient of aquous outflow and visual. fields were analysed before and after surgery.Results. The mean follow-up was 5, 8 years (3-14 years). The mean preoperative IOP was 31,8 mm Hg in POAG and 18,2 at 5-12 years after the surgery. Group with secondary OAG showed higher percent of repeated procedure and YAG laser goniopuncture. Complete success rate, defined as IOP lower than 21 mm Hg with and without medications was 73% 5-14 years of follow-up. 38% of them were examined after YAG-laser goniopuncture ab interno and 15% of them were followed after repeated NPDS with collagen implant. New implant was used in 31 case with 4-8 months of follow-up in hard cases of OAG. In all those cases IOP was normalisedх

Conclusion. NPDS with collagenoplasty is an effective elegant technique with the very low percent of complications and can be used widely for the surgery of OAG. To increase the efficiency of surgery new collagen non-absorbal implant can be used.
