Purpose: To compare the results of the visual fields (VF) using G1X program in patients derived for study for ocular hipertension or glaucoma with the dynamic and TOP strategies.
Materials and methods: We study the G1X VF tests from 34 consecutive patients (63 eyes) derived for VF testing. We performed G1X program with the Octopus 1.2.3 (Interzeag, Switzerland) first with dynamic strategy and then with TOP strategy for each eye. We clasified the VF of each eye using Brussini's method first, second separating the VF in normal, pathological and central island fields (<10є), and third in normals or not, according to the MD and LV.
Results: From the 63 eyes studied we found any diference in 21 tests (32.81%). 7 (11.11%) eyes had diferences with the 3 methods. 5 (7.93%) eyes had diferences with 2 methods. 10 (15.87%) eyes had diferences with any one method used. We found no diferences in those eyes with central island of vision. From the 21 eyes tested, only 7 of them showed a pathological TOP for a normal dynamic VF, for any of the methods used.
Conclusions: We found some diferences using any of the comparative methods. there are no diferences for central islands of vision VF.
