Purpose: Prospectively studying the success rate and complications of deep sclerectomy with collagen implant (DSCI), in Pseudophakic glaucoma patients(PsPG).
Methods: Non-randomized prospective trial involving 20 eyes(20 patients) with medically uncontrolled PsPG.
Results: The mean follow-up period was 39.4months. The mean preoperative IOP was 26.1mmHg; mean postoperative IOP was 5.9mmHg at day 1 and 10.4 at 36month. Patients who achieved IOP below 21mmHg with and without medication were 93.7% at and complete success rate (IOP<21mmHG without medication) was 56.2% at 60months, with stable visual fields.
Conclusion: DSCI provides reasonable control of IOP at long term follow-up, with few immediate postoperative complications.
