The aim of this study is to evaluate the potential neuroprotective and hypotensive effect of Brimonidine Tartrate a highly selective A2 adrenergic agonist . In our sample we examined 10 patients (20 eyes) with the diagnosis of P.O.A.G who have been on treatment with Brimonidine Tartrate 0.2% other as monotherapy or as additional treatment twice daily for the last eighteen months. During that period of 18 months follow up all these patients had four (4) times visual fields test performed for each of them. In our study we analyse the visual fields for each patient using the statistical program “Trend” incorporated in the Octopus Perimeter. In our analysis we use the parameters MD and LV/SLV. In our presentation of results we discuss the “Trends” in the visual field tests of this sample.
