I have been practicing glaucoma now for almost a quarter century! With such a long-term follow-up of my patients, I feel progressively more humbled about how little true knowledge I actually have. I have great respect for the practical glaucoma management wisdom of practitioners and certainly other speakers on this program are now much more knowledgeable about glaucoma than I. I therefore thought that the only positive contribution I might be able to make to this excellent program would be to discuss my expectations for the present and future “if I myself had glaucoma”.
