The aim of glaucoma treatment is to preserve our patients’ sight, while
maintaining as much as possible their quality of life. Several drugs have been
recently launched to promote better intraocular pressure control, each one of
them acting through different mechanisms. This presentation will focus on the mechanism
of action, the hypotensive efficacy, and the safety of these medications.
Medical regimen, side effects, and potential influence on ocular blood flow
improvement and protection of the retinal ganglion cells will be discussed.
