A new variant offistulizing operation - sinusotrabeculodestruction (STD).The operation was performed in 240 patients. Indication to the operation are all forms and stages of primary glaucoma. The surgical technique is simple, almost atraumatic and totally excludes prolapse of the vitreous body during the operation. The control group consisted of 100 patients after sinusotrabeculectomy (STE). In the early postoperative period we observed the following complications: cilio-choroidal detachment in 5,42% cases after STD and in 12% in the control group, hyphema in 0,83% and 2% respectively. Normalization of intraocular pressure in the main group was achieved in 99,17% of cases, in control group - 96%. Our follow-up within 5 years after STD showed good functional and hydrodinamica indices (readings). The intraocular pressure remained normal in 92,08%, in 5,42% ofcaces the intraocular pressure was normalized due to application of B-block systems and in 2,5% a repeated operation was performed; in the control group in 83%, 11% and 6% ofcaces respectively. STD is an effective and reliable operation in treatment of different forms and stages of primary glaucoma.
