Upon registration, you will receive a personal envelope containing your name badge. Please remember to wear your badge to all sessions and events.

All participants and registered accompanying persons are invited to the Welcome Reception on Sunday, February 10, 2008, Hotel InterContinental Berlin at 19:00 hours.

CLIMATE

February is a cold month with temperatures at times below 0° Celsius
(32° Fahrenheit). Rainfall in February is approximately 96 mm/month. Warm
outdoor clothing is strongly advised.

The Symposium Organizers are pleased to provide the possibility to download a
formal letter of invitation.
It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential delegates to
raise funds or to obtain a visa. This does not imply a commitment from the Symposium
Organizers to provide any financial support.

VISAS

Some participants may require Visas in order to enter Germany. Please check
with your local German Consulate or Embassy. The German Government
website at: www.auswaertiges-amt.de/www/en/laenderinfos/adressen/index_html
has a database of the addresses and telephone numbers of most German
Embassies worldwide.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE

Certificates of attendance will be available for all registered participants at the registration desk.

EXHIBITION

Technical and trade exhibitions will be held in conjunction with the Symposium.

CME ACCREDITATION

An application for CME accreditation has been made. More information will be available shortly.

AIRPORT INFORMATION AND TRAVEL TO BERLIN

Berlin can be easily reached from all corners of the globe.
International fl ights arrive at all three Berlin International Airports:
Tegel (closest to the Intercontinental Hotel), Tempelhof and Schönefeld airports.
Taxis are available at all times of the day from all airports into Berlin’s city
centre.
  • From Tegel Airport to the city centre: airport shuttle buses no. 109 and/or
    no. X9 to railway station Zoologischer Garten.
  • From Tempelhof Airport to the city centre: Bus no. 109 and 128 to
    Kurt-Schuhmacher-Platz station. Take the U-Bahn line U6 to Leopoldplatz
    station and then change to line U9 to arrive at Zoologischer Garten station.
  • From Schönefeld Airport to the city centre: Take the S-Bahn line U6 from
    Platz der Luftbruecke station to Stadmitte station and then change to line U2
    until you reach Zoologischer Garten station.
The main railway stations in Berlin are the Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) and
the Ostbahnhof.

TRANSPORTATION WITHIN THE CITY

Berlin has a very effi cient public transportation system that services the entire
city. There is the S-Bahn and U-Bahn Metro network as well as buses and taxis.

BANKING & EXCHANGE

The German monetary system is the Euro. Foreign currency may be exchanged
at banks during normal banking hours, at hotels, airports and in exchange
offices. All major credit cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants and
shops.

FOOD & BEVERAGES

Business lunches and coffee/tea during breaks (as indicated in the programme)
are included in the registration fee.

INSURANCE

The Symposium Secretariat and Organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss or damage to private property of participants and accompanying persons, either during or indirectly arising from the 9th International Symposium on GnRH.
Participants should make their own arrangements with respect to health and travel insurance.
