EXTENDED DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTION OF ABSTRACTS: JANUARY 29, 2004
Participants are invited to submit abstracts describing original
research in the fields related to headache. Those who would like
to present an oral or poster presentation must submit an abstract
for consideration by the Scientific Committee. The abstracts should
be submitted in English and arrive no later than
January 29, 2004. The Scientific Committee will determine
whether abstracts will be accepted as oral or poster presentations,
with consideration to be given to the author's preference.
- Abstracts describing data already published will not be accepted
- The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors
are aware of the content of the abstract before submission to
the Secretariat.
- Only the abstracts of registered (fully paid) presenting authors
will be included in the program and book of abstracts.
- Abstracts accepted for presentation will be published on the
website prior to the congress.
SUBMISSION OPTIONS
Abstracts may be submitted in one of the following ways.

- Abstracts must be written in English.
- The Abstracts should not contain more than 250 words excluding
title, author (s), affiliations and acknowledgements per abstract.
- Your abstract should be informative, containing:
- a sentence statement of the study's specific objectives, unless
this is given by the title.
- A brief statement of methods, if pertinent
- A summary of the results obtained
- A statement of conclusions
- Use short specific titles. Do not use subtitles (e.g. introduction,
methods, results, conclusions)
- Capitalise the first letter of trade names. If references must
be cited in the abstract, they should be in the form of (MaassenVanDenBrink
A et al, Circulation 1998,98:25-30) within the text.
- Abbreviations in general should not be used and if unavoidable,
spell out any abbreviation in full on the first mention followed
by the abbreviation in parentheses.
- A simple table or figure may be included.
- Abstracts submitted by fax will not be accepted.
PREPARATION OF PRESENTATIONS
Oral - Speakers will only be able to present PowerPoint
presentations.
Poster - Instructions for preparation of posters will be sent together
with the acceptance notification.
