PREPARATION OF ARTICLES FOR THE PROCEEDINGS

(DEADLINE FEBRUARY 28, 2003)

  • Use Microsoft Word to prepare your document.

  • Text size and format: 16cm wide x 23 cm long, centered on the page and justified.

  • Paper length (including figures, tables and references): plenary and sectional lectures: up to 10 pages; contributed lectures and poster papers: up to 6 pages.

  • Do not use page numbering and do not otherwise insert page numbers.

  • Text should be typed single-spaced, justified. Use 12 point Times New Roman font.

  • Title: use upper case letters, 12 point Times New Roman font, bold, and center this on the page.

  • Single line space after title. Type the author's names in the order you want them to appear in the final copy. Use first names, middle initial, and last names. Type in upper and lower case letters, 12 point, Times New Roman font, centered.

  • Type the affiliations of the authors on the next line followed by e-mail address.

  • Position of headings (ABSTRACT, INTRODUCTION, THEORY, ETC.). Heading should be upper case 12 point Times New Roman font, bold, and left justified.

  • Tables and figures should be placed according to the author's preference. Captions should be centered below the tables and figures.

  • Equations should be presented on a separate line from the text with a blank space above and below. The equations should be numbered at the outer right margin of the text; the equation number should appear in parentheses.

  • Reference numbers in the text should be designated by square brackets, e.g., [1]. The authors should use a consistent referencing pattern.

  • It is expected that authors will submit carefully written and proofread material.
