TECHNICAL INFORMATION FOR PRESENTATIONS

Technical Equipment
Oral sessions halls will be equipped with overhead projection, single slide projection and computer (PC) projection (PowerPoint presentation). Please note that double slide projection and video tape recorders are not standard equipment and will only be made available on request, in writing, to the ICM9 Secretariat's office 3 weeks before the Conference.

Computer projection (PowerPoint presentation)
If using a Powerpoint presentation, please note you need to bring it on a floppy disk (3.5"/1.44Mb), or a CD (no ZIP disk), and load it on the computer (PC) in your session hall. Loading should be done half an hour prior to the session's beginning. You may also bring your own laptop as a backup.
If you use a Macintosh computer, please make sure it has a VGA socket for external signal, and check proper functioning half an hour prior to the session's beginning.

Video projection
If you use a video presentation, please notify the Conference Secretariat, 3 weeks before the Conference. Make sure that your video tape complies with VHS multi-system format. Check proper functioning half an hour prior to the session's beginning.

Posters
The dimensions of the poster board are: 90 cm (3') wide x 1.70cm. (5'6") long. It is suggested that your poster be 90 cm x 1 m. (Any longer, and it becomes difficult to see.) Posters should be concise and contents should be readily accessible to the viewer.
