An opportunity to meet old friends and fellow participants whilst enjoying the atmosphere of the beautiful Chinese Gardens of the Cairo International Convention Centre and get a flavour of the famous Egyptian hospitality.
Tickets to the Welcome Reception are included in the registration fee for all participants. You will find your ticket in your registration pack. Additional tickets are available to purchase for $45 and can be purchased at the Registration Desk until 14:00 on Tuesday, 21 October, 2008.
Ladies, please note that it is recommended not to wear high heels at this event as it will take place on the grass in the Chinese Gardens of the Convention Centre.
Gala Dinner

A truly unforgettable evening awaits you at the foot of the Great Pyramids. Guest will enjoy dinner, dancing and a special showing of the “Sound & Light” display. This will be an unmistakably magical evening at a most unique and grand venue.
What to wear?
Although in the past, participants have always attended the ICS Annual Meeting Gala Dinners in a wide range of dress, from informal to cocktail dress, it is important to note that this is not a Black Tie event. Please do take into account that there can be a chilly desert breeze in the evenings and so we recommend that guests bring wraps or light jackets with them.
Transfers
Transport will be arranged to and from the Congress Centre for the Gala Dinner. The exact times of departures will be printed in your ‘Transport Schedule’ that all participants will receive when collecting their registrations at the Annual Meeting.

Tickets to the Gala Dinner cost $125 per person and are available still available for purchase online at the link http://www.kenes.com/ics/2008/registration.asp or by contacting the Registration Department at ics2008_reg@kenes.com.
Table Plan
All participants who have purchased tickets to the Gala Dinner must exchange the voucher they receive in their registration kit for a dinner ticket and choose their seating at the Gala Dinner Desk, which will be open at the following times:
