GUIDELINES
FOR THE SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS
Deadline
for Submission of Abstracts: November 30, 2001
Participants who would
like to make a presentation at the congress must submit an abstract for consideration
by the Scientific Committee. The Scientific Committee will determine whether the
abstract will be accepted and whether it will be presented as an oral or poster
presentation, with consideration to be given to the author's preference.
The
presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content
of the abstract before submission to the Secretariat.
Only the abstracts
of registered presenting authors will be included in the program and in the Conference
Book of Abstracts.
PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Abstracts must be written in English and contain a brief, clear statement of conclusion; avoid statements like "the findings will be discussed".
- All abbreviations must be defined before being used as an abbreviation in the text.
- Please note that an original abstract is reprinted exactly as provided. It is therefore essential that the abstract be correctly typed.
- The content of the abstract is solely the responsibility of the author.
- Use printing system of high quality (e.g. laser or ink-jet printer, golf ball typewriter or daisy printer).
- The abstract must fit into a rectangular frame of 17 cm width by 12.5 cm length, including title, author(s), country, tables and/or diagrams, and acknowledgments.
- The name of the presenting author should be underlined.
- There is space for approximately 250 words (1800 characters) of text in Times New Roman Font 12 point. Do NOT use a smaller font size. Use single spacing.
