About Salzburg

Surrounded by mountains and located at the foot of the Sazach River valley, Salzburg is one of the most beautiful European cities. Well-known as Mozart's birthplace, the city hosts a variety of concerts, operas and other cultural events. Ski resorts offering winter sports are located close by. Salzburg's beautiful location, charming and unspoilt architecture and many attractions make the city one of the most attractive destinations for winter travel.

"Paracelsus
Whatever be my chance or my mischance,
What benefits mankind must glad me too;
And men seem made, though not as I believed, For something better than the times produce"

'Paracelsus' Robert Browning
Paracelsus (Theophrastus von Hohenheim) 1493-1541, a great Renaissance physician and pioneer of medical chemistry, lived and worked in Salzburg.
