Airport to City Centre

Edinburgh Airport has frequent direct flights to Europe, Ireland and other parts of the UK.

Train
Though the bus is usually cheaper, discount rail tickets are competitive (Eurail passes are not recognised in Britain). The main rail terminus is Waverley train station, in the heart of the city. Most train services also operate from Edinburgh Haymarket station which is on the main bus route between the airport and city centre.
Further information: +44 8457 484950 or visit www.travelinescotland.com.

Car
The main routes into Edinburgh from the north and west are the M8 motorway from Glasgow and the M90/A9 from Perth and Inverness. The fastest driving route from London is via the M1 and M6 to Carlisle, then the M74 to Abington and the A702.

Bus
Public bus services stop outside the UK Arrivals doors on the terminal forecourt.
Airlink 100 to city centre
There is an express bus service to Edinburgh city centre. The frequency of the service is from every 10 minutes at peak times through the day, to every 30 minutes at night. The ticket cost is estimated £3 single, £5 return. Tickets can be bought from the information desk at International arrivals, from a desk at the bus stop or on the bus itself. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes and terminates at Waverly Bridge, near to the main railway station and bus station and is just off the city's main street, Princes Street.

More information on both Lothian Bus services can be found at www.lothianbuses.co.uk

Taxi
Taxis (cabs) are available from a designated rank beside the coach park outside the UK arrivals hall.
A typical journey time to the city centre takes around 25 minutes and fares vary according to the distance travelled. Many of the taxis are wheelchair accessible. Taxis arrangements are managed by Executive Onward Travel, please telephone +44 131 333 2255
