Vienna International Airport
Vienna International Airport is served directly by taxis, buses and trains.
Taxis - Travel time to Vienna city center is approximately 20 minutes. The taxi ranks are located north of the arrivals hall.
Buses The bus journey into to city center takes approximately 20 minutes and costs 6.
Train Via the City Airport Train. Travel time to Vienna city center is approximately 16 minutes. The trains run from 05:40 until 23:30. The cost is approximately 9.
Transport in Vienna
Vienna is served by an excellent metro system linking the Symposium venue with all major sites and Symposium hotels.
Official Airline
Austrian Airlines is the official airline for the ISME-11 symposium and will be offering reduced rates to symposium participants. Please contact your nearest Austrian Airlines office or travel agent where you will receive information on flights and fares.
As participant of the Symposium you and one accompanying person will benefit from a favourable congress fare on Austrian, Austrian arrows and Lauda flights. Please identify yourself as a participant by presenting your registration and referring to: CODE ISME6.

The weather in Vienna in August is normally mild. The average temperature varies from 18 20ēC (64 68ēF) during the day but evening temperatures can be lower and there is a slight possibility of rain. Be prepared for diverse weather.
